Our community lost Gardner at age 23 from complications from Leukemia just two short years from his diagnosis. Cancer is non-discriminating. Gardner was a Greeley Athlete just like you.
The walkathon is the perfect platform to raise both awareness and money in the fight against Pediatric/Adolescent Cancers, Spinal and Brain tumors.
This year we will be making contributions to organizations that are right in our own backyard…
The vision "to bring support and lifesaving treatments to kids battling cancer, as well as spine and brain tumors" is shared by two local organizations. Team G/The Gardner Marks Foundation is an organization devoted to raising money toward grants for cutting edge cancer/stem cell research. The Making Headway Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides essential care and support for the child, family and peers helping them through emotional and physical difficult times outside of the medical world.
