One Life Club was formed at Scarsdale High School. Fazl Shaikh created it during his freshman year in honor of his friend Jack Reyna, who passed away during the summer of 2012 after suffering two terrible years of brain cancer. Jack was supported by Making Headway, so Fazl created the club One Life in order to raise money for the Foundation.
Alexis Zachem, also a student at Scarsdale High School, was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in April of 2013. It was successfully removed in August of 2013 at NYU Langone Medical Center. Looking for a way to help kids worse off than she, Alexis decided to raise money for Making Headway.
